How Do I Feel Today? But Really
Solo exhibition · Participatory · Augmented reality21 portraits, each an emotional state I lived, painted instinctively in black, white and magenta on pieces of old road maps: a map of my emotional world. Visitors first noticed what each face stirred in them, and only then read the emotion it stood for. The same emotion turned out to be universal and personal at once.
Nine portraits carried an augmented reality layer. Pointing a phone at them started a short video, a story told in the first person, and then a question for the visitor. Collecting all nine unlocked a final piece. The experience was available in English, Spanish and Italian.
