What I am working on now, and the work it grew out of.

2025 to now · Conceptual

In progress

Two projects, both started in 2026. Each one begins from a contradiction I have lived, opens it to other people's experiences, and is documented as it develops. The documentation is part of the work.

Abortion of the Soul

Six works on my mother's death, and on a life that was not hers. The first series that started from a concept rather than a gesture, before I called my practice conceptual.

Before 2025

Earlier work

The same theme, identity, approached through other means before the research had a method.

2023 to 2025

Spiritual Expressionism

Instinctive abstract painting in acrylic, mostly 90 × 90 cm, made as a ritual in the years I was pursuing freedom from society and its rules. Shown in Alfabeto Astratto 2024 (L’Aquila, Florence, Rome) and on silk scarves at Milano Fashion Week and the Festival de Cannes, 2025.

Portraits

Portraits and two solo exhibitions in and around Barcelona: Terrassa, Manresa and smaller towns. Made while I was leaving a conventional life, they asked how well we know ourselves, and how faithful we stay to that self when everything pushes us to conform.

    Fragments

A society of predefined paths and constant stimuli, where we lose the ability to listen to ourselves and let others shape us. The portraits asked visitors how well they know themselves, and how true to it they stay when everything pushes them towards the standard model.

  2. 2023Solo exhibition · Participatory · Barcelona area

How Do I Feel Today? But Really

21 portraits, each an emotional state I lived, painted instinctively in black, white and magenta on pieces of old road maps: a map of my emotional world. Visitors first noticed what each face stirred in them, and only then read the emotion it stood for, with an augmented reality layer on their phones. The same emotion turned out to be universal and personal at once.

    Genius Over Identity

The first series to name the contradiction between the need for security and the desire for authenticity. Pictured: She's Coming Back Home, acrylic on canvas, 40 × 30 cm.

A technique that keeps every mark inside a template, practised while I was living inside one.
